About Us
Botswana Guides Association is a tourism body whose members comprise of 1000 tour guides and 400 mobile safari company. Its aim is to spearhead citizen empowerment into the tourism industry, its headquarters is in Maun.
(BOGA) Botswana Guides Association promotes the development of locally based tour and safari industry in Botswana and tries to increase the employment opportunities for the local people. We works towards the maintaining of high standards, professionalism and ethics, within the tour and safari industry in Botswana. Our members regard the safari industry as an integral part of the country’s Wildlife Management Programme and conservation in Botswana.
Botswana Guides Association exposes and prevents, where possible, any illegal or unacceptable practices in the tourism industry.
OBJECTIVES

Botswana Guides Association intends to co-operate to the fullest extent with the government of Botswana, the ministry of Environment and Tourism and its Department and Agencies, other Government Ministries, Parastals, Non-Government Organization's and interested persons and bodies engaged in the preservation of the environment and flora and fauna of Botswana.

To promote the tour and safari industry in Botswana in all aspects as Guides in the industry.

To work towards the improvement of the whole range of tourist services offered in Botswana

To promote regulated safaris as an integral part of wild life management conservation programme and Safari Industry
